okay - go simpler - drop the colour, and just take the shapes from Balla's paintings and bring them in as selections in Photoshop and then just fill them with a flat colour using the paint bucket and/or the gradient tool - so in essence, you're just bringing in shapes, not yet texture and not yet colour - introduce those elements when you're sure the composition is working - also remember to use 16:9 aspect ratio - it will help you make strong compositions - but yes, you're beginning to build spaces here - keep going - but make your process simpler still.
