Narrative project - UV's scene 7

Re-modeling the factory scene 7 did not take that long and made it much easier to UV the models. Below is a couple of screenshots of the new factory.

Narrative project - UV's

So after talking to Simon about the scene and UVing, it turned out that the models had been modelled wrong for UVing. Simon showed me a few ways to get around it. Below you see all the UV's for a truck. I  put them all on one image so you can see them all. 

The next scene is where Simon said it would just be faster to remodel then try and fix the problems it has in it. I plan on doing this later.

Narrative Project - Sound testing

 

I have done a few tests with sound for are group animation. I added in text to show when transition would happen, but without the animation to go of I just guess with the times, but with this you can sort of understand where we are going with it.  

 

This one does not have any music when it cuts to are characters face.

 

 

This one has music when it does cut to his face, I think this would help with the feeling of loneliness.

Not to sure between these two. There is only a small difference but not sure which one more fits with Lowry. I am still going to add shadows of people walking in to the factory.

Group project - Narrative mood boards

These are my two mood boards for our narrative group project. My character mood board features a lot of old experienced looking men that in my opinion you would see in an old factory setting. My second mood board features a lot of old photos of factories as I feel that an oldish dark factory setting would be perfect to portray the feeling of loneliness . 

Ideas for group project

So for the brainstorm ideas I decided to do a sort of mix and match of Ideas so that me and my group could come up with different story through interchanging different ideas.

"in the factory"

toy factory.
car factory.
mass production factory.
abandoned factory.

"loneliness"

someone feeling alone.
someone feeling different to other people.
someone feeling suicidal.

The character that the narrative is based could be feeling any one of these feeling and then at the end of the story the character either is still feeling the same or has something happen to them that they stop feeling it.

"the Kuleshov effect"

This could be anything so once we have the setting in place as well as the scenario we can add in the Kuleshov effect.

Group Project

For my group project my group randomly picked "The Kuleshov Effect" as our editing effect. Our setting we ended up with was "In The Factory" and are theme is Loneliness.

We all had a talk and selected to go with Ghost in a jar productions. Jamie is working on setting up the blogger page, where as Dan has taken on the logo designing and I am going to be brain storming ideas for the production.
